Gabriel Stibio’s (Author) collection of microshorts pulls from the fast, fragmented nature of memes, forums, and social media, embracing the weird and unpredictable way we consume stories online. The design brings this to life, with each story getting its own look and feel—like scrolling through a chaotic social feed. Bold typography, shifting layouts, and graphic elements keep things unexpected, reflecting the internet’s jumpy, multi-threaded nature. We used section-sewn binding with an exposed spine to give the book a raw, stitched-together feel. To push the full-bleed design, we glued sections back to back, allowing printed elements to hit the edges without compromising structure. The French-fold cover adds a sleek contrast, balancing the book’s mix of chaos and polish. |
